Describe your organizational development (OD) practitioner competencies.

In 6 to 8 slides (including detailed speaker’s notes):

  1. Describe your organizational development (OD) practitioner competencies.
  • What makes you the best candidate for this opportunity?
  • What are your credentials?

Select an organizational development (OD) intervention strategy for the scenario above. Begin by reviewing the four categories of organizational development (OD) interventions. There may be multiple issues to be addressed at the same time. Develop and explain your intervention plan.

  • How will you organize the plan so the organization can change effectively and efficiently?
  • What will most likely transform the organization in the given scenario (i.e., structural, technical, or behavioral change or a combination of these)?

Develop 8–10 pertinent interview questions you will ask management. Include your rationale for selecting your intervention strategy. Explain what assessments you will need to perform. Describe the data that you might need to collect from the organization. Explain how you will collect data and measure results. Justify your answer. Create and explain a reinforcement strategy or a transfer-of-skills plan. How will you be certain that the change has become the new normal and will continue once your consulting contract is terminated?

Your final product will be a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation of approximately 6 to 8 slides in length (including detailed speaker’s notes). You will utilize three to four scholarly sources in your research. Your presentation should be written in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources;

Explain how the business risks differ between traditional tax and audit services and management consulting services.

As the rate of innovation increases, companies face expanding product/service lines, shorter product and service lifecycles, and more frequent product/service transitions. All of these can bring tremendous value but also pose enormous challenges and risks.

The article “The Art of Managing New Product Transitions” by Erhun, Gonclave, and Hopman (2007) from the readings for this module includes a matrix titled “Product Drivers and Risk Factors,” which focuses on Intel, a company that manufactures high-tech products (p. 76). Based on your readings and research, address the following issues:

  • Redesign the product risk factor matrix so that the factors are appropriate for a services firm that delivers traditional tax accounting and audit services. For example, among the supply risks, assume that the company relies on individuals with specific knowledge of the tax law in the jurisdictions where its clients operate, be it state, federal, or foreign.
  • Now, assume that the firm wants to develop a management consultancy practice. (Alternatively, you may choose to add a legal services line instead.). Create a separate new matrix that summarizes the additional risk factors for this firm launching a management consultancy or legal services line. What additional risk factors are you adding to your matrix?
  • Explain how the business risks differ between traditional tax and audit services and management consulting services. In your opinion, what are the three biggest risks the firm faces if it diversifies into the new service line?
  • Recommend whether the firm should organically grow into a consultancy service or acquire a third party to achieve new goals. Justify your recommendat

How do you plan to enter the acadmic conversation?

A tentative title for your project. The title should not restate the paper’s topic (e.g., “Logging in the Northwest” or “Cat Ladies). It should suggest your plan to enter the conversation, signal your position in the debate/discussion, or in some way give readers of a hint of your research purpose.
A description of your research question. How did you get interested in the subject? In what field or academic conversation you working?
A description of your research purpose. How do you plan to enter the acadmic conversation? What do you plan to accomplish with your research ?
An overview of the research you’re done so far. What had your research shown you? What questions have you answered?

Identify an issue currently in the news that is associated with federal, state, or local efforts to improve healthcare delivery.

Issues and trends that affect healthcare delivery are varied and arise from many different sources, such as the emergence of new technologies, changing patient and workforce demographics, and economic fluctuations. Federal, state, and local policies are continually instituted or amended to address new developments or priorities and to rectify problems in healthcare delivery. For instance, changes may be required to address cost containment challenges or disparities in access to healthcare services.
To prepare for this Discussion:
Identify an issue currently in the news that is associated with federal, state, or local efforts to improve healthcare delivery.
Research the issue in a variety of news sources, such as government sites (e.g., the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Mental Health) and online newspapers. Do not use blogs or other informal sources.
Select one article or news item on which to focus for this Discussion.
Reflect on the information in the article/news item and consider how it relates to your understanding of the U.S. healthcare delivery system. Review the information in the Resources and conduct additional research using the Walden University Library and credible websites to deepen your understanding of this issue.
Think about the social, economic, and political circumstances surrounding this issue
