Discuss what you learned in the T.R.E.C. & Severity / Exposure Codes. This discussion is focused on what you learned about T.R.E.C. & Severity / Exposure Codes and risk assessment. It relates directly to Chapter 11, Review Question 5. This is is a multi-part problem which seems to give some students problems. The first part is to figure out the severity code. Then analyze the facts in the question to figure out the exposure code. Finally, run the formula in the chapter to see how much is really at risk over the life of the system. It will be a lot more than you, at fist, think and should provide some insight about how much is really at risk, which relates to the amount of insurance needed for the operation. (Remember our discussion about the “real” cost of safety at the beginning of the course?) Let’s start with the severity code.
What did you decide the Severity Code should be and how did you determine it?
Next, what is the exposure code, and how did you determine it?

Students are expected to justify the choice of a key international marketing theme/area/issue, explain its importance and provide an outline proposal of how they will research this further and produce a full report.

Any choice should at least consider the following:

selection and justification of a key international market, e.g specific country, city or region based on the core approach
identification of a selected organisation seeking to operate in this chosen country, city or region

u will choose a topic from the list below in order to gain a broader understanding of the texts we have read so far. Topics will cover thematic and social issues. This paper is a more focused close reading paper and should use the same kind of deep understanding and consideration of the scenes, dialogue, structure, and image that contribute to the reading that you are arguing for. For the project, select an organization that you can find the financial statements for on-line. The objective of this activity is for you to be aware of what is happening in the real world as it relates to financial accounting issues to make the study of accounting more meaningful, and to bridge the gap between theory and practice.

The project requires a critique of the financial statements and annual report of the selected organization . Additional guidance will be provided .

Financial Analysis Course Project Suggested Outline

The course project is designed to help students learn more about:
How to read financial statements
How to use financial statement information to learn more about the financial condition of a company
How to write about financial information

These are the steps:
Select a company to write about and enter that choice in the Choice of Course Project threaded discussion.
Find the annual report that includes the financial statements on-line.
Use the Excel worksheets provided (related to chapter 13 material) to do financial analysis. You may need to find more than the current year of financial information or the current annual report may have trend information you can use.
Write the paper (see outline below) and include the financial analysis in your paper. The paper should be about 1,000 words not including the tables and charts. See separate instructions on the various options for bringing your analysis information into the paper.

Suggestion Outline:
Introduction: describe the company, give some overall information about the company both nonfinancial and financial. Nonfinancial should include things like where they are located, how long theyve been in business what they do, etc.. Financial might be high level things like total assets, current ratio, total revenues, net income, maybe stock info if publicly traded.
Analysis: show the results of your analysis and something about what it means.
Conclusion: what have you learned about the company and uses of financial information.
