Overview of Assignment
-Develop and write a six to eight page research paper, following these guidelines.
Research Paper Outline/Requirements
I.Title Page
a.The title should be descriptive, identifying the topic of your proposed study and the most important variables/concepts involved. The title page should include a running head, page number, article title, author name and course number/title.
II.Abstract
III.Introduction (1-1 0.5 pages)
a.Based on your interests, experiences, and/or observations, determine a topic on which you would like additional information (that is not covered in the AGEC course sequence).
b.Explain why this is an area of importance/interest.
IV.Literature Review (4-4 0.5 pages)
a.Write a scholarly review of the literature on your chosen topic, using a minimum of six research-based references that have been published within the last eight years.
V.Discussion/Implications (1-1 0.5 pages)
a.Discuss the implications of the literature findings review
i.importance for use by school counselors
ii.importance for future research and developments.
VI.References
a.Include at least six scholarly research references, published within the last six years
Note on APA style: Consulting scholarly publications will provide guidance on writing the final report. Include a cover page with running head, page numbers, abstract, section headings, in-text citations, and a reference section. Please follow the attached instructions and outline of the assignment. The paper can be longer than the 5 pages if needed to provide a quality paper. Please only include research articles that reference research done in the United States (no foreign references for example, no British Schools, no Canadian or no Hong Kong. The articles must talk about US school counselors in US schools). Please don\”t use research later than 2007. Here is a link of an article. If you are having difficulty finding enough sources you can change the topic to something like school counselors and social justice or school counselors and reducing academic stress or another topic that you can find more research on but it must be about school counselors in schools in the United States.
