I have been precepting on an inpatient psych unit. I can not think of an issue to write. maybe nurses doing groups. They currently do not have any nursing groups, so maybe Improving Nurse Resources on Adult Inpatient Psych Unit or something. My professor is not present on my unit, so I just need a 4-6 page paper, and powerpoint (no more than 20 slides, for peer review) on nurses running a variety of groups. I will upload syllabus and instructions.

Key Elements of Chapter One 1) Introduction: One to two pages/citations. Citations can be a mix of primary and secondary sources, but very limited website use. Introduce your specific practice problem to the reader. Citations need to be 10 years or less in age. If you are having difficulty finding recent publications, talk with me as this may indicate that you need to tweak your purpose a bit. 2) Purpose: One paragraph/no citations. This is a SUPER important part of your project, as this will form the basis of it and the purpose statement is essential to the IRB application. This needs to be as specific (narrow) as possible. The purpose of my scholarly project is to___________. Also, include an overarching (more general) aim for the project: What do you hope for as a result of investigating this particular practice problem? Start a conversation with your chair at this point, as they will need to approve your purpose for the IRB application. IMPORTANT CAVEAT: The purpose of your project may change as you go through the semester, which is OKAY. Sometimes it takes time to play around with this, but the time spent is well worth it! However, having said that, the sooner you can nail down your purpose, the better. 3) Background: One to two pages/citations. Citations need to be all primary sources here. In this section, give the reader a glimpse into what will be coming in your chapter two (a detailed review of literature section). Focus on your specific purpose. Answer this question: What is known (from the research) about your project problem? 4) Significance of your project: 1-2 pages/citations (can be a mix of primary or secondary sources with very limited use of websites). Include these three areas: significance for nursing as a whole, for healthcare, and for advanced practice nurses. 5) Support for project: One paragraph/no citations. How will your practice (where you work) support your project? Think about: people, place, and process. 6) Benefit of Project to Practice: One paragraph/no citations. How will your project benefit your particular practice setting? 7) Conclusion: page/no citations. Include a summary of the important points outlined in your paper. This is not the place to introduce anything new to the reader. Do not repeat sentences verbatim from your paper. 8) References Chapter one should be 5-8 pages, excluding references/title page. No biggie if you go over by a bit. APA style formatting means 12 point font, Times New Roman style, one inch margins, double-space. A nice sample paper to look at for APA format is on page 41 of your book. Once you get my feedback on your chapter, super important to incorporate my suggestions! You will need 10-15 references. They can be a combination of primary and secondary sources. No websites, please. This assignment (along with chapter two and three) will go through the Turnitin software program. Be sure that your originality percentage is at or below 15%. No matter the percentage, view your report to see how you are doing with citing and paraphrasing. If you submit something and feel that your percentage is too high or you are worried about accurate citing, view the report, fix it, and resubmit. I only grade the most recent submission for each assignment. So, this is a learning opportunity. It is super important to cite carefully, in APA format, and to learn to paraphraseyou want to avoid plagiarism! See my sample heading format on the next page Chapter One Start writing the introductory paragraphs here. In APA format, there is no formal heading as it is assumed. See APA book pages 62-63 for more details about using headings. Hi I am having a problem with writing my mission statement. I want it to be short and simple, which is what I did. However, the profession do not agree with it. It must be between 10-12 words. I have attached what my organization is about See below: Lewis Consultant Services (LCS) mission statement: Breathing life into organizations through innovation, creativity, and growth. Comment-1: Your Mission Statement is concise! What is its real meaning though? What I mean is, what is your true purpose? See the comment I made above about FaceBook\’s Mission. Read it. It is a true representation of what Facebook does. Is your Mission statement the same? If not, revise it. Focus less on the way it sound when read aloud, and more on the substance of it. Does it have power and potency? It should be such a profound statement about what your firm does that is feels like it punches you in the gut when you read it. Does that make sense? Second comment: I mean no disrespect, as I understand your desire to reinvigorate organziations, but unless you are selling some type of an aid for CPR, remove \”Breathing life\” from your Mission. It is colloquial in nature, and does not give any specific information regarding how the potential organization is going to be improved by hiring your firm. A Mission statement must be clear, direct, and concise. using terms that allude to some form of non-specific improvement like \”breathing life\” will not get the job done. after revising it Revised statement: Implementing new concepts into an organization through innovation and creativity. Comment 2: Try to avoid buzz words. Take the following example. If I was the owner of a chocolate bar company, and I wanted to make chocolate bars, my Mission Statement would be as follows: Make the world\’s best chocolate bar. This is simple, concise, and has no jargon in it. You are using words like \”innovation\” and \”new concepts\”, and even thought they sound nice, they mean almost nothing. They are buzz words. Eliminate them and cut to the heart of who your firm is and what your firm really does. That is a Mission Statement.
