From the project plan developed, the project has two critical paths. The first project critical path consists of the following project tasks 2 – 5 – 6 – 9 – 10 -14 -15 – 20. The second critical path consists of the following tasks 2 – 5 – 6 – 7 – 10 -14 -15 – 20.
How much slack / float is in your project? What activities have the greatest slack / float?
In order to determine the project slack, the early start and late start times for each project needs calculation. The early start times are calculated in the forward direction of the project network diagram starting from the start point heading to the project finish. On the other hand, the late start times are calculated in the reverse direction of the project network starting from the finish point heading to the project start. The reason for selecting this task is that they have zero slack and hence are critical path tasks. Any delay in these activities will lead to delays in other tasks and in turn affecting the project completion date.

In order to make the project more complete I would include a project-planning phase. Project planning is one of the most critical steps in any project. During the planning phase, the project charter and objectives will be identified. Furthermore, the project needs assessment will be carried out during this stage in order to identify what the project needs to accomplish. The planning stage will also involve developing the project plan and budgeting. Lastly, during this stage the project sponsor needs to approve the project plan, charter, objectives, and budget.
