To begin, work through the reference list that was created in the Problem Description Assignment in Topic 2. Appraise each resource using the \”Rapid Critical Appraisal Checklists\” available in the textbook appendix. The specific checklist you use will be determined by the type of evidence within the resource.Develop a research table to organize and summarize the research studies. Using a summary table allows you to be more concise in your narrative description. Only research studies used to support your intervention are summarized in this table. Refer to the \”Evaluation Table Template\” available in the textbook appendix or use the \”Evaluation Table Template\” resource as an adaptable template.Write a narrative of 750-1,000 words (not including the title page and references) that presents the research support for the project\’s problem and proposed solution. Make sure to include:It is essential to make sure that the research support for the proposed solution is sufficient, compelling, relevant and from peer-reviewed professional journal articles.Although you will not be submitting the checklist information or the evaluation table you design in Topic 3 with the narrative, the checklist information and evaluation table should be placed in the appendices for the final paper.Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required for the individual sections, but is required for the final paper. This assignment uses a rubric. Instructions: While searching the web for forum topics, search for case studies that involve energy pollution problems from its production, use and mitigation measures OR a case study that involves persistent, bio-accumulative, and toxic (PBT) substances and mitigation measures. Write a brief (one page minimum) summary of a case study that interests you.
A case study should be about one specific site or incident that occurred…not a generic summary of a topic that interests you. Also, remember that good communication skills (and in particular, writing) are necessary for any pollution manager to document what’s been done, how, when, where, why, and with what results.
Submit your case study summary in the Assignments Section of the classroom for credit. Again…if you did not use this last week to write about a specific case…here is a web site to use:
costperformance.org/search.cfm
From this web page, you can search for case studies by Media/Matrix (e.g., sediments, sludge, soils, etc.), by Primary and Supplemental Technologies, by Site Name, or by Location. OR, you can click on “Display All Case Studies” at the bottom of the page. Many of these case studies are located on military installations, but not all. You can also search other sites, but you MUST include the web addresses and citations for journal articles, theses, etc. in your summary and cite them correctly for credit.
In one of the Hazmat Textbooks I have read said \”If you have an acid (or base) without a water component, the reading from pH paper is meaningless.\” Based on this statement, a first responder could apply a little water to the pH paper before using it to measure the pH of an unknown liquid.
Please discuss why you agree or disagree with wetting the pH paper before using it.
Please include a REFERENCE(S) (journal article, book, website, etc..) or specific example to support your discussion.
identify an air pollutant where you live, or in an area you have lived or would like to live. What are the sources of this pollutant and how might it affect human health and the environment? Please cite at lease two scholarly sources. I consider the EPA or a state/local environmental regulatory agency as an acceptable source as well as science and legal based sources that are peer reviewed.
The following short video provides an overview of many of the issues that will be covered during the term. Please review and you may want to refer back to his in later forums.
Instructions: Research the history of freshwater pollution regulations in the US and write a brief (one page minimum) summary of the laws and regulations that have been enacted to date. This can be done in a bullet format, outline or paragraph. Be accurate and concise, citing your sources correctly.
Make sure all dates, years are included.

The more of the tutorials you can work through, the better; however, your grade is primarily dependent on how you approach the task and how much learning energy you put into it rather than specific output from the tutorial.
prepare a 2- to 3-page report covering the following topics:
A brief description of the tutorial and what it teaches
Key new language learned, including major technical terms; please provide brief definitions for these, and indicate why they are important.
Any areas of uncertainty left by the tutorial; does it leave you believing that you need to know more about some topics?
Your evaluation of and experiences with the tutorial as you checked it out
