Data Analysis

After the data are collected and before program evaluators meet with management, the data must be analyzed to ensure that it will provide the right type of information for the evaluation. Of vital importance is ensuring that the data fit the indicators identified for analysis. Then, it must be decided how the data and results will be presented. It is important to present the information in ways that make it easy to understand, demonstrate relationships to other data, and allow the information to be used to support decision-making processes. In this assignment, you will write about the methods of analyzing and reporting the study data. Based on the data-collection procedures chosen in the Module 5 assignment, write a paper of 1,000-1,250 words explaining how you would analyze and report the data collected. Use language that can be understood by someone without training in statistics and research methods. The adequacy of your response depends on its technical correctness and its appropriateness to the intended audience. Do the following in your paper:Module 5 Assignement:

What method or tactic would you use to reduce the backlog of cases awaiting trial?

You have just been appointed to assist the new court administrator for a medium-sized court system with approximately 75 employees and 5 full-time courts. This is a new position for the courts. In the past, each individual court has primarily managed itself, except for the employee hiring process, which was completed through the County Human Resource Division. Upon taking your post, you quickly find out that none of the courts seem to be willing to cooperate with each other—or, for that matter, any of the other various county offices, such as the County Clerk’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office. Rumors and gossip about mismanagement abound, and the communications process between the five courts appears to be at a standstill. The courts currently have a huge backlog of cases awaiting trial, and in addition, employee morale is low and the turnover rate is high. The new administrator has asked that you form a team to brainstorm ideas on how to address these issues.  What method or tactic would you use to reduce the backlog of cases awaiting trial? 1-2 pages

Analysis

Select an issue that has been a concern or problem for students on your campus or employees at your work site and develop a force-field analysis of the situation, suggestion a possible change solution. As an example, this could be an issue concerning classes, enrollment, health, safety, management style of the organization, or dealing with coworkers. The main requirements are that this should be an issue that is important to you, and be one that has been raised before, but never adequately resolved.
