y student will attend and submit a description of a live “classical” concert. The term “classical” in this case refers to Art Music as opposed to Popular Music.

Mention specific pieces from the program and details about the pieces that support your opinion, focusing on the elements of music that we have discussed this semester in class. Your examples should give the reader a complete idea of what the concert was about.

Include only TWO musical elements for half of the pieces on the program in your writing. If the concert consists of large multi-movement works, write about half of the material in the performance, e.g. Acts I & II of a three act opera, or Movements III & IV of a four movement symphony.

For a piece such as Mozart’s Symphony no. 40, one could write the following: The concert opened with the first movement of Mozart’s Symphony no. 40. The piece begins in a minor key. It is written for strings, woodwinds, and brass, and is played in a fast Allegro throughout.

Dale and Mike Parak were twin brothers and best friends. They spent their entire lives looking out for each other’s interests. While growing up, the two were inseparable. After they retired from their jobs, they decided to live together to save money, and they still enjoyed each other’s company. When he was 70 years old, Mike was diagnosed with cancer. Doctors predicted that he had about 6 months to live. The brothers agreed that Mike should not suffer. Mike and Dale wrote and signed a note stating that they decided to commit suicide. Dale broke 20 tranquilizers into Mike’s evening meal and watched as he ate it. Yet, when Dale checked on Mike one hour later, Mike was still alive. Dale panicked. He took a .38-caliber revolver from his desk and shot Mike, killing him instantly. Dale then went into the kitchen and took a handful of tranquilizers. He did not die. He awoke the next morning as somebody pounded on the front door. It was a neighbor who, seeing that Dale was dazed and confused, decided to call an ambulance and the police. The responding police officer conducted an investigation, and Dale was arrested and charged with the premeditated, 1st-degree murder of Mike. The prosecutor, although noting it to be a difficult case, pursued the case because she thought that no citizen had the right to decide when someone should die. Dale Parak pled guilty to 1st-degree manslaughter and was sentenced to 5 years in a maximum-security prison.  here is the professor’s instructions for the project : For the final project I wanted to give you the basic “bare minimum” parameters. 1) Create custom modeled 3D buildings/structures with textures for your village/outpost or whatever theme you are working on. It doesn’t have to be fully detailed but I also do not want just a cube with basic texturing. (3d max) 2) A working door and other elements that animate, using Playmaker. You can duplicate the same doors as many times as you need unless you have more than one type of door. 3) Custom landscape with textures that your buildings/structures rests upon. 4) Use a skybox and direct light for the outdoors.
