BACKGROUND INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS: The U.S. has long considered Syria to be a rogue nation, a country that both harbors terrorists and possesses weapons of mass destruction. The current civil war in Syria has only increased instability in the Middle East, as well as U.S. concerns about its implications for the region. America and its allies have called on President Assad to step aside, which he has refused to do.
QUESTIONS: – Give three key reasons why the U.S. is concerned about what happens in Syria. – Why do you think it’s vitally important to remove the chemical weapon stockpiles from Syria? – Do both sides in this conflict have terrorists involved in the fighting? If so, do you think that might complicate U.S. and Western policy on the situation?

   Currently, numerous Americans lack health insurance because they are unable to pay for it. However, the number of people who do not have health insurance is relatively small as compared to the overall population. USA Today reported as of September 2010, 50.7 million Americans were uninsured.  In the under 18 years of age category, 16.7 % were uninsured. Source:  Answer and discuss the following questions.
