By , analyze the following scenario:There are multifaceted ethical issues relating to international investments. One aspect relates to human rights. Most Latin American governments have constitutions that mandate health care as a human right, yet some of these countries provide poor health care for the majority of their population.During the 1980s, the general populace of these countries deteriorated, even though several Latin American countries developed strategies to reposition medical personnel and services to rural areas. Throughout this time, many international donors provided assistance; however they did so with imposed conditions. An example of this constrained assistance was the World Bank, which imposed restrictions that included privatization of health care, as well as required limitations on universal access.Did the World Bank and other international donors act responsibly and ethically in constraining their humanitarian assistance? Who has the responsibility for the health care of the Latin American people? Is it a reasonable and socially responsible practice to offer international assistance in exchange for an opportunity to shape a country\’s political and/or social system? Why or why not?By  respond to the discussion question assigned by the faculty. Submit your response to the appropriate . The question remains, however, whether taking action that advances the cause of democratic governance is a legitimate way to assess ethical behavior.

Contemporary policy debates revolve around interpretations of how a democratic nation is to be governed. The ongoing controversy over the meaning of the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution is an example of a modern-day issue rooted in early democratic principles. Given the nature of gun violence in the United States, the right to bear arms is a heated policy issue that warrants in-depth reflection of what was intended for this fundamental right. Part of the modern-day argument centers on whether government intervention in the form of gun control is what the Founding Fathers would have wanted. Debates about the proper role of government are as old as the government itself. The very fact that there still is concern about what was intended is an indication that founding periods in government are viewed as normative events, that is, events that established or instituted democratic standards or became the basis for democracy as we interpret it.In previous weeks, you have analyzed democratic concepts, democratic principles, and democratic processes. Now you are asked to think more concretely about those issues by assessing whether democratic governance constitutes the very foundation of bureaucratic ethics. Those working in government are required to adhere to a professional code of ethics. American public servants take an oath upon appointment or election to uphold the principles of the Constitution as part of their professional duties. For example, a public servant should support the ideas of separation of powers and rule of law, which are basic tenets of American democratic government. The question remains, however, whether taking action that advances the cause of democratic governance is a legitimate way to assess ethical behavior.

Corporate and Global Finance 12 hours from now

Though corporate capital structure (also called capitalization) and corporate financial structure are closely related, they do have some significant differences. Financial structure is determined from the full liabilities and equity position on the firm’s balance sheet, looking at the total liabilities, both long- and short-term and the equity used to fund the organization. Whereas corporate capital structure looks at the mix of equity and long-term liabilities—primarily debt. In other words, capitalization is the portion of funds raised by selling shares and financial structure is the portion raised by selling bonds.Determining the optimal financial or capital structure for a domestic U.S. firm requires in-depth analysis of a variety of factors. Assignment 1: Juvenile Treatment Debate

Training schools are detention facilities designed to house delinquent youths, generally for thirty days or longer. These facilities represent the most punitive sanction available in the juvenile justice system. Training schools vary in their physical structures, from the relatively comfortable and homelike cottage and dormitory settings of minimum-security institutions to the high-walled compounds that generally resemble their adult prison maximum-security counterparts.Due to their long-term status, training schools often provide delinquent youths the opportunity to learn a trade or continue their education. The main focus, however, is on rehabilitating the youthful offenders. To this end, a variety of treatment methods are employed, including positive peer culture, behavior modification, and guided group interaction. This is only a part of the list of treatment options available to training school administrators—other methods exist and are currently used.Submission Details:By , in at least 250 words, post to the  your
