Create your own definition for technical communication and a separate definition for technical writing. Explain in at least 200 – 250 words.Question 2Why do we need technical communication? What purpose does it serve? Identify at least five types of documents or other written materials that could be considered technical writing that you engage in or see in your home and/or workplace. Assignment 1Evaluation of a Health-Related WebsiteIn July 1999, The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) issued the following advice to consumers who use the Internet for health-related information and services. ATA’s criteria for a quality site include the following (“Advisories” 2–3):    The site is sponsored by a reputable healthcare organization (American Cancer Society, American Medical Association, nationally recognized medical college, or the like). Information from a commercial interest such as a drug company should include assurances that the material is reasonable, balanced, and objective and does not merely promote the company’s own products.    Each information source is clearly documented.    A site providing online diagnosis or prescribing treatment and medication avoids any direct sales of the treatments or medications being prescribed.    The professionals offering medical consultation are fully licensed and their credentials are clearly posted.    The site clearly describes its policies and procedures for maintaining records of the consultation and safeguarding patient privacy.Visit a health-related Website and evaluate it according to the above criteria. Focus on sites that cover alternative health such as as Alt Medicine, sites that create specific recommendations based on the information you provide such as WebMD, sites that offer specialized consultation about specific medical conditions such as HealthLine, or discussion sites for people with a specific medical condition such as the Cancer Survivors Network .Assume that you are a Website consultant. Based on your reading so far about technical communication and the ATA guidelines above, prepare a numbered list of specific problems you noticed on the Website and a recommendation of how each problem could be corrected. Your list should be approximately one page, single spaced, with a double space between the problem and the solution and a double space before each numbered item. Attach a title page to your list, formatted in proper APA style.

About this experiment:
Experiment 1: Diffraction Grating.
Caution. Follow the specific instructions you are given about working safely with laser
light.
You are provided with a laser light source, and two diffraction gratings. One grating has
known line spacing. Task 1 is to use the grating with the known spacing to determine
the wavelength of the laser light. Task 2 is to work out the spacing on the unknown
grating, using the value of λ found in task 1.
For a diffraction grating nλ = dsinθn
where n is the order of the maximum,
λ is the wavelength,
d is the slit spacing of the grating and
θn is the angle between the direction of the central beam and the direction of the
nth maximum.
Task 1
1. Set up the apparatus to produce an interference pattern on the screen.
2. Draw a labelled sketch of your experiment.
3. Indicate, by labels or explanation, how you will obtain n, d, and θn for each
maximum you investigate
4. List the measurements required.
5. Draw a suitable table for your results.
 Include quantities, units and uncertainties in the table headings.
6. Take measurements and record them in the table
7. Plot a suitable graph and use the gradient to find λ.
To find the wavelength of the light
n X (unit) tanθ = x/y θ(unit) sinθ
1 1.4cm 0.035 2.004 0.035
2 2.6cm 0.065 3.719 0.065
3 3.9cm 0.097 5.540 0.096
4 5.2cm 0.13 7.407 0.129
5 6.5cm 0.16 9.090 0.158

8
n is the order
y is the distance between the grating and screen
x is the distance between the central maximum and nth maximum
λ = d sinθ /n
{sinθ/n is obtained from the graph}

Details:

The PICOT statement will provide a framework for your capstone project (the project students must complete during their final course in the RN-BSN program of study).

Review the PICOT article \”Evidence-Based Practice, Step by Step: Asking the Clinical Question: A Key Step in Evidence-Based Practice\” along with the \”Chapter 18: Using Research in Evidence-Based Nursing Practice\” PowerPoint resource.

The first step of the EBP process is to develop a question from the practice problem you drafted in Topic 1. Start with the patient and identify the clinical problems or issues that arise from clinical care. Consider the research and writing you completed in Topics 1-4.

Following the PICOT format, write a PICOT statement in an area of interest to you, which is applicable to your proposed capstone project.

APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.

This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

You are not required to submit this assignment to Turnitin.

In this assignment, you will compare and evaluate risk management techniques from experts in the field. Go to the Ashford University Library and find one article by Dr. James Kallman. Dr. Kallman, an expert in the field of risk management, has written many articles on managing financial risk. Find a second article in the Ashford University Library from another credible author of your choice who also provides recommendations for risk management.Develop a three- to four-page analysis (excluding the title and reference pages), of the techniques Dr. Kallman has identified for managing risks. In this analysis, compare Dr.Kallman’s techniques to the techniques recommended in the second article you researched. Explain why you agree or disagree with each authors’ recommendations. Describe other factors you believe should be considered in risk management. The assignment should be comprehensive and include specific examples. The paper should be formatted according to APA.Carefully review the  for the criteria that will be used to evaluate your assignment.
