Consider the possibility that the two candidates competing for the Presidency in the Fall of 2016 are Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. What are the strengths and weakness of each in terms of electability considering their respective political bases and their ability to lure others to vote for them?  How is this likely to play out in terms of the Electoral College election? Do you think the pundits have missed something in terms of their respective chances to win? If so, what?Do so in a thoughtful and respectful manner.  

 Personal Reaction Papers Throughout this course, students will write four reaction papers (due dates listed in course progression schedule). The nature of the papers will be about personal observations and reactions that students have to course materials and experiences throughout the quarter. Each paper should focus on the material and experience covered in that two week period. You may include information from prior periods but the majority of the reaction should focus on the current period in question.   For each reaction paper, include the following information:  what was learned and what did you become aware of from the material and/or experience not known before  themes and ideas that stood out to you   reaction to the new information and themes (feelings, thoughts etc.)  how this information could be used in the future and the impact of the information on you and your future work with counselees  Each personal reaction paper should be a minimum of three pages in length (recommended 3-4 pages) and double-spaced and must include a title page. An abstract and reference page are not required; however, should you choose to use citations to help highlight your thoughts and ideas, a reference page is required. This paper is more about the insightfulness gained throughout the course and grading will be based on such. Be sure to organize the paper based upon the above bullet points and use similar wording from above to help create section headers.   Reaction Papers may be turned in up to a day early but not sooner. Any paper turned in more than a day before the due date will not be accepted.  

When it comes to research, it is important to constantly ensure a study contains both validity and reliability. A research report identifies the initial design of a study, so with a valid and reliable research report, your study will be off to a great start.As you prepare your research report for this course, what are you going to do to ensure your research remains valid and reliable? Identify one variable that could jeopardize your research, and describe how you will control it. 

 A literature review is all about being aware of what exists in relation to a topic. This way, a researcher can do everything necessary to be aware of existing data. Plus, it communicates to readers that you have reviewed the related literature. As you begin to write a literature review, it is important to consider the audience (i.e., the readers). Based on the research problem and the purpose of the research report, who is your audience and what do they want to know? Imagine you are going to submit this report to someone who is interested in the details and the results.
